Nursing Smart Start Orientation

Welcome to Tulsa Community College's Smart Start Nursing Orientation. This event will provide students with crucial information necessary to succeed as an applicant to the TCC Nursing program, including: an overview of the admissions process; the structure of the nursing profession; and the skills necessary to succeed in and out of the classroom. Completion of Smart Start is mandatory in order to apply for the TCC Nursing Program.

At Smart Start, students will hear from the nursing faculty, as well as from student support professionals in academic advising, career services and academic support coaching. Specific topics for discussion will include essential functions of a registered nurse; drug testing and immunization; academic and professional ethics; clinical courses; and how to use the array of support services for students at TCC.

The School of Health Sciences, Academic Advising, and Career Services collaborated for years to bring this orientation to you because TCC is committed to preparing you to succeed in your chosen career.
